Samsung DVD HD860 problems

Hi,

Just unpacked a HD860 and wired it all up via HDMI etc, when I power up it just spits the tray out and rather pleasantly just says 'reset' on the display.

I'm a bit stuck, the manual says to hold the 'forward' button for 5 seconds to reset to factory settings but it does absolutely nothing.

Don't suppose anyone has any ideas ?

maybe power off - and hold the required button (forward) while powering back on?

Tried that, does seem to have reset itself. So i try and display through scart and the cables it came with - nothing. Try the HDMI again and all it displays is a blue screen, no menu or anything

I've tried loading a disc, doesn't even sound like it spins it up, just sticks on load.

Sounds like it may be duff to me
