Unfortunately the other night, we had a power cut.

At the time i was playing a little bit of crysis so the DVD drive was in use. Upon re-booting the DVD drive now only makes a wirring noise and after about 2 mins, if I click on the drive in "MY Computer" overview section, it says now disk inserted.
Also whilst wirring the access light is constantly flashing.

I have tried multiple disk, checked all cables and still nothing. Rather annoying for a 6 week old drive.


Any ideas would be appreciated.

Odd that a power cut would have broken it, but it certainly doesn't sound too healthy. At least it should be easy to get a replacement as it's quite new.
