Hi,

Does anyone have any ideas to fix the following TV fault please?

Our Samsung F8000 55’ TV (2013 model) is stuck in a power on/off cycle. As soon as I plug the power into the tv it continuously switches itself on and off. The screen doesn’t have time to startup before it switches off.

I’ve tried the obvious unplug from the wall reset but that didn’t work.

Thanks.

I had this on my 46" F8000 within the first year of ownership. It was repaired on site under warranty, turned out to be the mainboard. Was fine for another 4 years before I passed it on.

Can't remember the model of my Samsung, a 32" I bought a long time ago. Had the same thing, ended up having to get a chip replaced on the mobo.
Tried many other various reset techniques, linking out pins on the mobo etc... But none of them worked.
Plenty of videos on YouTube.
Did all this, then the HDMI ports failed.....urgh

I had a Samsung TV a few years ago that exhibited something similar to this, look around for Samsung capacitor issue.. at the time it was said that they put under-spec capacitors on the main power board which caused them to die prematurely causing the TV to just click when you try to switch it on. I think I bought a replacement power board.
