Hi all,

Amazing looking forum. First time poster here.
I'm pretty old school with how I use tech/phones.
I'm due an upgrade with my Samsung, and I have noticed
most phone these days do not come with a 3.5mm jack for headphones.
I'm sure many people are aware, but it came as a surprise for me!

For my upgrade, I've only been looking at Samsung's that have a 3.5mm jack,
and of course, there are hardly any!

I've now realised you can get an adaptor for a phone without a 3.5mm jack.

My question, if anyone knows, is if I get the adaptor, do you think I'd notice any
deterioration in the sound in my headphones, because I am using an adaptor?
My main concern is volume. I don't want to lose volume maximum capabilities.
Obviously, I don't want to go to the trouble with an accessory for my phone, if
it in anyway, does not give me a "like for like" quality as if there was not an
adaptor, and I was plugging my headphones directly into an in-built 3.5mm jack.

This is such an adaptor here I believe
https://tinyurl.com/4pc5fzav (Amazon UK link).

I'm sure I'll convert to wireless headphones one day, but I don't want to lose
the options of old school way of plugging in my headphones.

Any assistance, really appreciated.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks both! You are really helping me out, because I am going to order my phone tonight and the adaptor and will look on that link above as well, thank you. ;)

Thanks again all, and great point about going jogging/running. I do rely on my phone and headphones for that, so thanks for the heads up on that potential issue. And thanks for informing about DAC.
