Looking fantastic. It looks very polished. Samsung have done a good job.

If it comes in at ~£400. It will do well. For comparison, the iPad 16GB with 3G is priced at £529.

Oooo yes please, a really nice Andriod tablet. If they sell well maybe they could knock a bit more off that price as volumes ramp up, I'd certainly be interested if I had the cash.

The good thing people have noted is the much higher pixel density compared to the iPad. Front and rear camera and HDMI out.

Ooh the NDa is lifted, I can speak about it - I've been itching to do so. We have had one here for over a month now (prototype model, it is encased in a delightful bright yellow plastic case).

It is very nice to use tho, very slick and responsive.

I wish they would do a Wi-Fi only model at a good price, I am not interested in a 3G version - it can connect via my phone if it needs mobile internets.

What about battery life compared to the iPad? Shame it's not as large as the ipad screen as I would be tempted! Seems perfect as it has flash, USB support and HDMI out along with front and back camera.

Only problem with front/back camera is what software can you actually use in Android that uses it? Skype doesn't have Android support apart from a few devices :( I have the Galaxy S and haven't even used the front camera!

Wow that one massive phone!1!!! :D
Looks awesome (and what the galaxy S should've looked like) Nice email/calendar app too.

Edit: Should this be in the laptop/pda forum?

Interested in what the battery life will be like, looks pretty smart as you'd expect from Samsung.

Not sure the camera on the back, nor the ability to make calls is particularly needed on a device like this. All I can see is "HELLO, I'M ON A TRAIN" when I think about people using this as a phone :p

Argh, I wanted a 10 inch version that could play 720p. I thought that was supposed to be announced?

Hmmm I am interested in one of these. However, is the screen not too small?

Depends what you want to do with it. The resolution itself is pretty much the same as the iPad. I think the size is fine for keeping at an arms length.

Looks brilliant... gonna be sorely tempted to purchase when released, though agreed - a wi-fi only version would have been preferred.

True.

Its ether this or the Toshiba tablet at the moment or unless Sony produce one :D

I still think this tablet craze is unnecessary. Its a market engineered by apple out of no where. I still think smarter mobile phones will destroy this market eventually.

Smartphones are more than enough for these uses.

I don't agree. The experience is massively different to using a smart phone, browsing experience and typing etc... is in a different league.

Different strokes for different folks I guess, but judging by the hype it seems I'm not the only one who agrees with the above.

I would like to buy one but what am I meant to do with my existing android 2.2 smart phone, would be a waste just to use it for calls and the tab for everything else, plus having to fork out for 2 data contracts, would a bluetooth headset and selling my existing phone be the way to go?
