Samsung Green DDR3 1600mhz

Should do 2133 easily on x79 though it can depend on motherboard, the msi x79 board I had hated sammy greens, would barely do 1866 c12 while my gskill kit would do 2440 c10 :)

I think that was just an msi issue though as some msi z77 boards also had major issues clocking greens.

Edit: iirc greens don't scale much over 1.7v, but you'll likely not need much over 1.55-1.6v for 2133.

Ooooo, I might try this!
What sort of volts will it need?

Also, can you do 2133 on X79?

Don't know about X79 but i can't see why not.

Mine needs 1.5v for 2133mhz. The timings i settled on are:-

Mains 9-10-10-21-1t

Seconds 6-108-7936-16-6-24-4-5-8

Thirds 4-6-6-19-5-5-4-7-7-9-9-9

Keep in mind that i am on Haswell though which is excellent for clocking ram.

So if I wanted to go to 2133MHz, what would be 'safe' timings considering I'm on X79 and running 4 x 4GB in Quad Channel?

I'm thinking I'm best getting to 2133MHz with loose timings then trying to tighten them, rather than going straight to 2133MHz with tight timings and then lossening them until it works.
So what are reasonable loose timings to start with? (e.g. Don't wanna start at CAS13 unless I have to)

On X79 theres very little reason (unless your doing something specific) to run anything other than 2133MHz 9-10-10-21-1t (sub timings don't make much odds) that gives the best overall balanced performance and anything else will be so small gains really not worth it. With a bit of luck you should be able to go straight in at that.

Exceptions being stuff like if your mostly using high end multi GPU for rendering or compute or running more than a 6 core CPU where you can get some advantages from silly high MHz RAM or if your doing a lot of certain CPU compute tasks which favor tighter timings over anything else.

I was going to start a thread about these and timings.
Also does anyone know what uncore should be set to running at the 2133 on a 4670k at 4.6?

Finally got around to trying this. Didn't even post :(
