samsung green ddr3 on x79

Hiya,
If i put samsung low voltage dimms in an msi x79 mobo, will i have to set the ram voltage the first time i power-up the machine???

You shouldn't need to.. I've used it in my Asus and nsi x79 boards without looking st bios.. Why are you having problems?

Thanks for reply, i just read somewhere that X79 defaults the ram at 1.65 volts, i just didn't want it to kill me 1.35volt ram ,lol.

That's BS, especially for the ASUS Sabertooth X79 that i've got.
Also, 1.65v won't kill your RAM regardless.

Slap it in and get overclocking
