I have one set of them and i can not get them to work stable on lower timings

System:
MSI 990XA-GD55 AMD 990X
Phenom II 960T

Can get them to run at 1600Mhz with 11 latency on 1.35V
Can turn on the pc but not stable on 8-8-7-19 on 1.48V

But i can not get it to run stable on lower timings then 11
No matter the voltage

Any suggestions ?

Its possible its just an MSI issue...

Sammy greens are known to be problematic on MSI X79 & Z77, so its entirely possible they are also problematic on 990X.

I had the same issue but with X79, wouldn't tune down in the slightest and overclocking them required silly amount of SA to get mediocre timings at increased frequency.

My solution was just to buy a different set of memory, I ended up with some ripjawsZ that tune really well :)

That is sad but i did not purchase this set for my build so it is ok i guess

But i was so happy wen it ran all ok for 2 days on extra low latency

I might have cracked the nut
Running at 1688Mhz at the moment
on 8 8 8 21 29 with 1.4V
Difference is that it is running on 2N
What is that?
And what number from the latency timings should i try to lower

I have a crosshair v with 960t unlocked to 6 core running @ 4ghz ~ FSB 242 / Multi 16.5 @ 1.47v and 8gb of Sammy greens. I could get the stable in everything but BF3 @ 1866 but no more.

After a lot of rather boring testing I now run them with lowered latency @ 1620mhz ish 7-8-8-20 @ 1.55v which being AMD, probably helps more than RAM speed. Don't be afraid to push these all the way up to 1.65 / 1.7 with no cooling, they handle it fine.
