First of I'm completely new to this. The settings I used were from other threads and I had to find a jargon buster to understand the terminology.

To test stability I have run:
1 - Memtest via a bootable disk
2- Super Pi Calc
3- ImgBurn
4- General gaming and have had no crashes

However when I run MaxxMem the programme fails to start and crashes my system, is that a sign of instability?

My System is:
z77 sabertooth
3570k 4.6Ghz
16Gb Ssamsung RAM.
670 SLI 1290/1880

Is there anything I can do to get Maxx Mem working or test for stability with another program?

Additionally can the overclock be improved, by lower timings, voltages, higher speed?

Thanks

For stability Memtest from DOS and Prime in Windows are useful tools.

Your secondary could be improved easily.

working down the Bios go: 5.96, auto, 12,6,26,6,5,8

You could also try frequency by lower the CPU multi and raising the BLK.

is that for secondary timings?
should I leave the other timings alone?
should that read 5, 96 or do you mean 5.96?

Thanks

Unfortunately MaxxMem doesn't seem to want to load on Windows 8, so I'm out of ideas on what to use on that front.

I used the secondary timings, ran Super Pi calc and MemTest and it all passed okay.

edit - MaxMemm now works, must be because of those timings you asked me to change in secondary

I just got a bsod whilst playing bf3. PFN_List_Corrupt

The PFN_LIST_CORRUPT error message is typically associated with a read/write error, which coincidentially, happens on the RAM DIMMs.

solved

maxxmem test failed to start again, is there any fine adjustments I can make to the ram overclock? you mentioned icreasing blck, but wont that increase my cpu overclock?

If your not stable at this speed no point in increasing BLK. I would back off TRFC to 121 and test again.

Thanks that seemed to work, I can run MaxxMem now, so it seems stable. :)
Super Pi and Memory test via bios passed with no errors.

I'll grab some screenshots and update.

Sorry it failed again when I rebooted and tested again.

These are my timings

Voltages are the same in the previous screenshots and nothing has changed.

If some RAM dont like low TRFC, I'll increase it to 126 and see if it that works.

edit I changed it to 126 and even 91 and it failed.

sup majnu, just tested your settings for 2200mhz and they dont work for me either, just bumped TRFC to 127 and tested again still fails, @ 2133mhz with your timings works fine but i run my TRFC at 88 @ 2133mhz

EDIT, use intel burn test for testing it will show up errors quickly

My memory goes up or down in 200Mhz increments, how do you get it to 2133?
That's the thing Intel Burn Test runs fine when the secondary timings are all on Auto. 10 passes at very high but MaxxMen fails to load.
When I set the ram back to default 1400Mhz MaxxMem works fine.

you need to change cpu bus speed : dram speed ratio mode from 100:100 to 100:133 or set it to auto

rssihk.jpg

still not stable at those speeds too :(

do you use imgburn at very high to test?
could my cpu overclock be causing a problem, because I ramped it up to 1.4v and it still crashed.
I see you have offset mode, how does that work, maybe because I don't have that setup I'm crashing?
my bios is the latest version, I'm running out of ideas now.
