Hey all about to have my ku6400 calibrated but im not to sure how this would work curently using the TV as a pc monitor my pc outputs 4k but using the old HDMI 1.4 and only at 30hz so im upgrading my graphic card for HDMI 2.0 but of course with me using the TV as a monitor a lot of settings are greyed out like movie mode exc . So after speaking to jules who is doing the calibration for me he said he would have to calibrate the PC but im not sure what he means. He said it can be done this way lol

would expect calibration can be accomplished firstly by tv controls, to a good tolerance, without needing to use the windows/graphics card colour management system
this will then benefit both the PC and any other hdmi devices (+freeview/smart internal services) you might also use.
indeed It would surprise me if you needed to calibrate on the PC side at all.
it is easier imhop to calibrate on pc side, but quality of calibration may not be as good (maximising capabilities of the tv.)

Do not, of course, have to tell the tv a pc is attached to hdmi socket unless this gives genuine reduced lag say for games (since some of the tv internal processing is not needed)
since if you will be watching movies on the pc, motion interpolation processing, say, tv provides might be useful

No i wont be using the pc for gaming mainly use it for home theatre without gaming. i have the tv HDMI in pc mode but im not sure if this was the right thing to do cause the tv still had a lot of the processing still greyed out when it was in normal HDMI mode i still could'nt use movie mode exc im not sure the best way of doing the set up to be honest lol
