Samsung Laser Refils

Hi I have a Samsung Laser 1210 (£50 job) andhave refilled the tiner a couple of times. However despite printing ok its very faint since it last run out although the toner is full. I was thinking of getting another toner as I do like the printer and can get a compatible one for about £25. Do you think its worth it or is there another consumable on the laser that runs out too ?

I'm nearly sure you can only refill toners a certain amount of times before they need to be replaced.

The company i work for get theirs filled all the time to save money but at least once a year they get them replaced with brand new ones.

This could be your problem, i have a Samsung Ml-1610 and noticed it printed very faint but then i realised i had the toner save function on

so that corrected my problem. I would check this first before doing anything.

It's probably the drum in the toner unit. Afaik Samsung toners and drums are combined (unlike in other printers), so you will have to replace it.

OK cool I thought they were combined or something like that didnt want to buy a toner cart then find i needed a diffuser or something that was more than a new printer.

Was I the only one who mis-read the title of the thread as "Samsung Laser Rifles" and thought OCUK had entered the arms market.
