hi all, any thoughts on this beast? i was going to junk my CRT, and my TV and use this as my only display?

will there be any WS issues in games? and is VGA input enough? it doesnt have DVI, but it does have HDMI ? i know its not the best Tv, or nest monitor, but i think its the best midway point so far, and i am moving into my sisters room and ideally want a flat panel for PC and Tv and DVD's etc

i mainly play BF2, poker, watch films etc... any thoughts appreciated

its basically this screen;

but with freeview tuner built in.

probably more likely to be people with experience with this screen in the Home Cinema forum, so moved it there, leaving a redirect in monitors in case anyone can help there too :)

I have had one of these sets and found that when i connected the DVI on the PC to the HDMI on the TV you get overscan, you can adjust the overscan with the graphics card driver but you end up with a resolution of 1200x668 and it looks worse than VGA, with the VGA connector you can set the resolution to 1360x768.
Also the HDMI port is HDMI V1.0 and you need at least HDMI V1.2 or above to support PC resolutions so you don't get overscan, HDMI is only fully backwards compatible with DVI when used with consumer electronics unless the HDMI port is HDMI V1.2 or above.

Hope this helps!

You'll need to use the VGA connector, not HDMI as said above it doesn't work correctly. I have my PC running through a LE32 at 1360x768 and it looks fine. Scaling isn't a problem through VGA, I can run at 640x480, 1024x768 1280x720, 1360x768 etc... You can use PiP if you want to watch TV and check your emails at the same time or simply switch inputs. It is a nice set, has good input location on the rear and shows no smearing/blurring in games whatsoever.

DVI and HDMI are interchangable, an adapter will set you back less than a tenner
