Hi

Looking at maybe investing in one of these screens but, im not really upto date with this whole HDTV stuff so if anyone can give a verdict on the samsung that would be great?

Im going to be hooking up a HTPC to the screen running mce, probably playing a few 720p movies and probably some xvid! all DVD's through the HTPC and then basic digital freeview.

What kinda quality do normal dvd's play like on a screen like this? also ive got a digital freeview tvcard in my HTPC will that perform better than the intergrated one in tv's of this kind?

cheers

DVD's and the PC will look fantastic. 99.999% sure it's the same panel as the 40" Sony S-Series and that is sublime.

Just curious, why are you going for the 73 instead of the 74? Everywhere i've looked has the 74 for much cheaper and although it doesn't look as good, everything else is pretty much identical.

I am also looking at getting one of these once I get back from my holiday (late next week) - its currently £1,120.99 without any discount from a high street retailer (however its a website exclusive and you can also save £60 off of the price with a voucher if you have one). I will be using it for my Xbox360 :D

I had them running a demo on a DVD player (just through SCART) and the quality was fine, obviously if you are right up to the screen it doesn't look awesome but if you sit back it looks fine :)

I can't wait to see it in full HD :D
