Hi i am after a new tv and want a 3d one for 3d films, but my main reason i want a new tv is for gaming so does any one here have the Samsung LE46C750 and is it any good for gaming as i have read it has a high input lag i think with game mode on its like around 40 odd ms would this be no good ?

Thanks for your help :D

I had the same issue with my 37" series 6 samesung, but to be honest, unless you use a mouse and keyboard, you won't notice a difference.

You can use the 'pc mode' which removes all input lag but grey's out a lot of the TV's settings, which for me, wasn't good due to being a bit of a nut on calibration.

So I simply have it to normal mode with custom settings, the lag is no issue

Thanks agnes, i wont be using mouse and keyboard on it at all, just xbox 360 and ps3 so playing fps games and that should be fine yeah ? as i am just concerned about that input lag, as i can go buy it tonight. Thanks again.

bloodiedathame Sorry for the long sentence :P

But any help would be good thanks.

Honestly, I am the sort of person who HATES playing pc games below 60fps due to the input lag that occurs and the visual slowdown (don't care what people say, it is noticeable) and I play fps casually fine on the screen.

I play a lot of BC2 online and have never had an issue.

They are great screens so don't be put off by the input lag. There are other screens out there in the same price range with much more noticeable issues for gaming.

Wrong, you will come home with one later today!

Enjoy it mate. Any advice on calibration, let me know.

Good job! Right, first things first, head over to AV forums and find a clibration thread for that model range, very easy, just bung in your model number in the search and you will find one.

Now, there is a lot of reading to be done if you want a semi decent setup. And a lot of tinkering, but trust me, you want the best picture after parting with a wad of cash like that! Remember, don't go by animation looks, find a real picture, taken by a normal camera and stick it on a usb, load it up and when your aunt at the seaside looks peaky rather than white as a piece of paper or brown as wood then you know it's getting there :)

Next is the input for the 360, I made a few threads about this my self, if you are going in via HDMI, you want the 360 to output RGB from the 360 settings, and obviously 1080p. Then set the tv settings to work along with this.

Again, let me know and I will check my tv settings tonight as I am sure the menu is not far off.

Yeah i done that found some settings and just messing about with them now to get best picture, i will just keep reading and tweaking stuff :)

And i will try what you say for input lag to. and your settings would be good yeah when you have time to check :D

Thanks for all your help !

I have the 40" version of this TV, I really rate the set, colours are spot on as well and I use it for 360 gaming and Blu-ray's via PS3 and it's amazing.
