Will be sending the 34UM95 back after all.

Could live with the bleed, but the displayport issue is a no-no.

Now, I have now shifted my triple Dell U2414H's, will no longer have an ultra-wide....

I can probably live with my VG27AH, which is actually a nice screen and runs up to 108Hz (though run at 96Hz for some reason). It is only 1080p though.

Was just wondering if should maybe try out something like that in the title, or just simply wait for more ultra wides....

No, I knew it was coming... but as with all monitors lately, when?

It's annoying as the 34UM95 really could have been my perfect monitor, but I am not putting up with issues for the money.

Maybe I do just need to wait.

Though I hate waiting. And I am sick of 1080p. So sick of it. It doesn't bother me for gaming, but for everything else it's just not enough, and I want a higher res again really badly :(

The curved Samsung is, as near as makes no difference, the same price as the curved LG and until it appears no one knows how much better it might be in some areas and worse in others (likely a bit of both).

But if the budget could stretch to ~£1K the curved LG, already available, does not have the display port issues you are experiencing (works perfectly unless you are trying to use 10-bit colour, which is unlikely!). Of course bleed is still a bit of crap-shoot, but LG at least seem to have improved their RMA policy :).

I really don't want to stretch my budget that high...

I was already pushing it with the 34UM95.

Which is why I am partly tempted to try another, and hope that the:
a) Displayport issue is a fault and not a compatibility issue.
b) Can get one with less bleed.

Yep, if it were me I'd probably try and RMA one. It doesn't sound like a 2nd could be worse .

I'd also try any Nvidia beta drivers (I haven't looked to see what is available at the moment) with your current monitor and any replacement. If your monitor isn't simply faulty, my best guess is this is a GPU driver/display compatibility issue, which may or may not be uniquely exposed by the LG, rather than a problem with all 34UM95s. Surely that's not possible?! So I'd guess a GeForce update would fix it at some point.

It might also be worth trying a GeForce driver from early this year, just for diagnostic purposes. As we discussed elsewhere, some have said Displayport issues with Nvidia crept in a few updates back and if the problem goes away with a 6-9 month old driver you can be more confident it might be fixed again in the future.

And make sure, in all this testing, DP 1.2 is turned OFF! I know that causes problems and it is of ZERO benefit to 99% of all known users :)

Picked up one, and will give it a go.

Don't want to spend a grand on screen.

Hopefully the 32 Samsung will be good, and will try to hold out til 2016.

By that point all these technologies will be a bit more established and there will be something like an ultra wide 39 inch 4k equivalent.

Never had an Mia screen before though...
