Who is pre-ordering?

I think "OM NOM NOM NOM" sums up this monitor :p

Bit expensive considering the screen size and resolution though. Could easily buy 3 x Samsung 2343BW for £500 and have a nicer resolution, more bezel yeah but 1/3 the price!

Looks like it is 3 of these - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-122-SA with bezels joined... Can't see how £200 per monitor x 3 into preattached config with bezel comes to 1.5k? Nice margin... FOR THEM :)

Yeah I agree, I was really interested in these when they first appeared at CES, but having seen the price there is no way thin bezel or not a standard def resolution along with a 8ms response time should cost anything like that! They do have a single power plug (monitors route through each other with remaining power cables), and they have a remote so you can turn on/off the screens together or singularly (pointless with only 3 though). The other ones you referred to I sent back as they were not very good all-rounder’s (good at 2d, useless at games - they also had major colour blur/shift when scrolling a webpage - maybe these have slightly better panels? But think they are PVA also).

Looks like I am getting the Dell or HP IPS panels instead, better panel, faster response times and better 16x10 layout for several hundred quid less.

Very disappointing!

rexehuk agree.

i have 2343BWX 1152p 16:9 , you get a really tiny bezel (asbout the same as my old 15" dell lcd) i.e 1.5-1.8cm, higer resolution @70hz and right aspect for games and movies and an image miles better than the TN panel would leave you belive.. not to mention a pixel pitch as good as a 30" apple screen.

the swivel version is best and easy to rotate for portrait and they have almost uniform bezel all round.

to top it off there about £180 each ! and you can overlap slightly on screens to make it effectivley one bezel.. which makes it the same as those very expensive sammys above

no brainer

(not my setup.. a guy called shishkabob on hf forum im sure he wouldnt mind me posting his great setup. I need to upload shots of mine soon :))

^ not overlapped so could be a wee bit thinner still.

watch in hd :D

Got my 3 for £480 in VAT + delivery ! not bad for 7 million pixels

It's not the monitors that push it up to £1500, it's partly the exclusivity but mainly the stand.

The stand needs to be very strong to be able to hold those three all from one central base, and it would take some pretty hefty joints to be able to have a one base stand which allows for the monitors to be moved to this:

Also having it in that setup massively reduces the desktop footprint of the monitors, meaning they can be closer to the front of the desk without blocking the mouse..

Regardless, I wouldn't touch it unless I'd spent at least 2k on the system before it, it's too much over a normal eyefinity or even standard 3 monitor setup even with the impressive stand and thin bezels.

I have a Ergomount stand which can hold 6 x 24" panels - as tightly as the Samsung and it cost £399...the Samsung one is part stand part monitor construction, the outer panels bolt to the two middle monitors with hinges...funny someone should post the 6 screen version because that is the only one I would find viable (with a 1920x1080 resolution panel), but guessing that would be £3,000.00 :(.

I use mine for work mainly so need as much real estate as possible, 6 screens are also good for some games like Total War series and racers, for FPS you just need to turn the top ones off and use the bottom three...just a 1 minute fiddle in CC.

Oh well got my refund on the screens, now I need to read, read and read some more before I purchase new ones.

2343bw doesnt have displayport. how much did you pay for dp adaptors?

You only need 1 adapter as 2 monitors will work with DVI.

The MD230X3 is far too expensive imo, might be tempted if someone offered me 50% discount but thats as high as I would go.

£70 for 1 x DP

the 2343 come with DVI cables :)

so really the cost of the whole lot is about £550 (less than 1 LCD TV and around 60" wide!)

and remember its 16:9 so no borders.. but is 2048 x 1152p so pixel pitch on 23" is same as 30" apple monitor better than those ultra thin bezel $$$$ setup

people say eyefinity is expensive but really a decent 27" screen costs £450 and the cost of gfx`s cards, ssd, or even the general cost of any other household appliance i dont think its that pricey really for what you get just takes some balls to get it ordered

+1 Although the DP adapter is way too pricy for what it is. Prob costs around £4-8 to manufacture... cabling is such a money maker.

And yeah I was on a 16:10 photo editing monitor for a while and took the plunge back to 16:9 (2 x 2343) and haven't looked back. Very good monitors for the price point and they are samsung... my 19" is still running after 6 years!

Whats the little pad connected to the screens in picture 6 in the description?

It's a remote control, it is used for OSD and power on and off for one , two or all monitors. Due to the thin bezels and the fact they were specifically made for eyfinity you will notice a lack of LED power lights and buttons...the screens can be tiled up/down/left and right etc...which is a plus in my book especially the lack of LED power lights! Still shame about the price, if these were around the thousand mark and the 6 screen setup about 2,000 I would have grabbed the 6 display.

If import duties were a bit more reasonable I would have grabbed them from the states, they are $3,000.00 dollars (£1,949.01) for 6 screen setup..our little island always gets stung!

I agree that these are a little more than they should be but comparing them to a 2xx3BW isn't a fair comparison as they aren't PVA panels.

true, but the 2343 1152p panels are oddballs they actually have great blacks, no image smear (tn`s are good for this generally) and great colours, seriously they are better screens than you would think.. really clear

unless you were a pro or needed to view off angle i cant see any reason why a pva is better on the more expensive samsung, id rather have LED tech.

Only if i had £1500 lying around and a few more hundred to buy a 5850/5870 :P

Wacky price though for 3monitors. Worth like £600? Even if they are on one stand thats mad
