First of all I know there are a 101 threads out there on this issue on different forums and im sure here, I have tried so many different things to try and fix this and its driving me nuts.

So having a monitor connected to the pc with both a working HDMI and VGA cable (works with other monitors) the pc will detect the monitor. The monitor cycles from hdmi to analog then goes blank. With no cable in it simple has the "Check signal cable" message floating on the screen with HDMI written under it.

The monitor is the SyncMaster SA350 22".

What i've tried:

-Updating firmware (says already up to date)
-Different cables
-Different computers
-Updating drivers
-Trying it with a fresh install of windows 7
-Tapping all the buttons randomly and repeatedly (hey someone else said it worked for them)
-Cleaning the ports with air duster
-Screaming at the monitor in the hopes that it might work!

What i've not tried:
-Smashing it
-Throwing it out of a window

If anyone can help me to get this thing working all I have to offer is internet cookies and my eternal gratitude. This thing just stopped working all of a sudden (went out left it on with world of warcraft up when I came back the monitor was blank a few hours late).

edit: Definately not against taking this monitor apart to check anything as its just sat doing nothing so if I did kill it there would be no loss ^^
