Samsung NC10 - Best distro?

I just ordered this netbook and i am thinking of using Linux on it.

I would prefer to use Ubuntu or Mint as i have heard great things about it.

Is ubuntu and the samsung a nice match? What, if any, functionality am i expected to lose by using Ubuntu?

p.s. I am a linux n00b obviously

Battery life on Ubuntu on the NC10 is worse than XP currently, so theres no real need to change for that aspect.

If you're a Linux noob I wouldn't suggest bricking your new netbook as a good way to start out.

Well , if battery life is worse then maybe i will have to pause that thought.

I tried Ubuntu in the past and i liked it, it does take some getting used to and i thought this would be a nice chance to use it as a second PC.
