OK, so there's a very good deal on these right now: QN700A Neo QLED 8K

It's not OLED, but it's going to be in a room with a lot of natural light coming in, and seating will be meters away.

I was looking to just spend £400 on a 65 inch tv, but given this is 120hz, good tech, 8k (if that ever becomes a thing), I'm viewing it as a forever TV type thing.

Thoughts?

EDIT - Decided to go for it, after cashback £1050 for this TV just seems too good to worry about.

Found it. Directly from Samsung with EPP (also an additional £52 cashback with Samsung Pay+) so can get this for £998 effectively. Awesome deal. Tempted to buy one myself (but won't as I'd only get OLED).

Yeah, blue light card holder (well, the wife is). Just looked too good to pass up really.

Cancelled. Turns out despite it showing on the sales gumpf that it's 120hz, it's actually just a 60hz. Not mentioned anywhere on their site, found a few conflicting reviews (some saying 120, some saying 60), called them up and it became clear it's just a 60hz.

Now looking at the QN90A, bit cheaper. Would like the 95a, but it's more expensive, and I was already pushing the budget a bit far.

QN95A is cheaper than the QN94A for some reason. £1124 for the 65" including cashback.

Yeah I noticed that, still doesn't make it cheaper than the 700a was though unfortunately. I'll hold fire for now, who knows, maybe the prices will drop a bit more. Still got some time on the cashback offer.

Just goes to show how much people are being made a mug of when these manufactures can sell them and make a profit even after these so-called "cash back" offers.
Personally reckon a £1k TV is really only £300 - £400 tops.
