Samsung Odyssey 49″ G9 S49AG95NC with 240Hz, Mini LED Backlight and HDR2000

Over 2000 dimming zones!!! Very impressive!! How will the dimming work without the gsync module though....

Very exciting monitor.

I guess this is 2022 then?

It need to have the Hardware Module, I have had both and prefer one TBH.

"The absence of a Native G-sync module might cause some complications here with usage of the Mini LED backlight at the same time as VRR. That is incredibly complex to develop and one of the reasons why current FALD and Mini LED gaming monitors use the G-sync module. We will wait to see how this performs on the Samsung Odyssey G9v2 and whether the Mini LED backlight can keep up with VRR and gaming properly and effectively."

I don't think Samsung has ever sold a monitor that uses a G-sync Module

Not sure but my older Hardware Module G-Sync Lenovo uses a Samsung VA Panel so it should be fine.

Remember they did say Samsung was not really into making dedicated gaming monitors much before these (not sure as there was an older model that looks like one to me).

This is going to be incredible, but first and foremost their main priority should be to iron out all the bugs that plagued the original G9 as I've seen so many issues and complaints from users about the countless bugs and problems they had with firmware etc
