Samsung Omnia HD software update issue

when I use Samsung PC Studio 7 to update the phone the program displays an error message that the phone is not connected. can anyone help

Is it a problem using Vista ?, I think it has to be Xp to work correctly.

i see i'm on windows 7 RC1

It doesn't need to be XP for this part of the update. You only need XP for the ROMPatch software part of the update.

You need to get the driver installed again to fix this, go to control panel, then to devices, you will see an unknown device of some sort, right click and click the option to install drivers, you need to then manually browse to one of the samsung software folders, let window search that folder for drivers, eventually you will find the right one and it will work.
