can anybody tell me the difference between a samsung and motorola phone please ?

I have had samsungs, but basically the new ones are too big, 6.6 and 6.7

Between 200-300 quid but flexible.

i have an S21 due a change and looked into Motorola one plus and an honor seems all the latest higher end phones are going really big in size i like the size of my s21

Motorola is basically stock Android. However their update policy is very lacking. Only a handful of phones have gotten the Android 14 update and Android 15 is just around the corner.

Yeah updates are very slow for Motorola's. But I keep buying them for the Moto gestures. Simple feature they must have patented, as I've not found it in any other phone.

Recently got an Edge 40 for a decent price, very happy with it.

I'm really liking the edge 40 and 50 range of phones for value for money, if you don't need the higher performance/ quality levels. Even the budget g84 looks decent.

Compare the £250 samsung a54 vs the £180 Motorola g84 or £250 Edge 40 neo and see which one you like better. Each will have pros and cons.

Had a convo in the pub with my mate last night about Samsung vs Motorola as he is getting a new phone this week.

He has been using a fairly decent Motorola for a couple of years and it turns out he absolutely hated every day of it.

The Motorola software was his biggest gripe and can't wait to get back to a phone running Samsung software.

We, as a committee, came to the conclusion that Samsung have top tier phone software.

Hope this short tale of pub chunner helps you in some way.

Used to love Motorola Moto g etc. But then had a couple with annoying bugs or faults that were never fixed their cameras are usually lacklustre as well. Its mostly stock android which is good. They seem to cheap out on the specs on the their cheaper phones.

Samsung cheaper phones can be poor you've to pay a lot for a good one. Used to have a lot of bloat. Usually have decent cameras though.

Samsung are South Korean, and they are better in terms of phone expertise, certainly one of the leading Android phone brands. Samsung is higher tech, and better in terms of quality.

Motorola is Chinese, same group as Lenovo. Motorola makes relatively affordable phones that still have decent specs. I would say Motorola is behind Samsung in terms of tech support and quality, but they still make reasonable and very affordable phones.
