Hi

The current TV in my pit, a venerable 10+ year old 32" Panasonic looks to be showing it's age (the OSD is failing), and as it's had many thousands of hours of use* I think it's time to look at a replacement.

The problem I seem to be facing is that 32" 1080 sets appear to be a bit thin on the ground these days, so I'm looking at something in the 40" range (due to space limits), at around £500ish, I can stretch a bit higher if needed but

I've been looking at the
Panasonic tx-43fx650b @ £599
Samsung UE43NU7400 @ £415
Sony Bravia KD43XF7093 @479

I'm leaning towards the Samsung or the Panasonic as they seem to have HDR10+, and I've been very happy with my current Panasonic, and happy with our Samsung set as well, but i'm completely out of touch with TV's as I haven't bought one for about 5 years :)

I am a little disappointed that when I finally have an excuse/need to buy a new TV, 3D capable sets seem to have died out completely:p

I'm going to head down to John Lewis next week to have a look at them in person, and probably get one ordered.

*At least 5 hours a day ;) (I have it on whilst on the forum).
