I'm getting 5-6 percent drain over night, according to Samsung battery app and Accubattery app no apps are running overnight. If i turn off wifi and mobile data then I get a 1% drain. My 5-6 drain is over a 10 hour idle at night.

Just wondering if it should be better? I don't have battery saving mode on.

Mine usually discharges 6% over 7.5 hours with data on and firefox left idle with a couple of static tabs open.

That's a 31 month old Galaxy S21

Thanks, it seems the drain is because I have wifi and Bluetooth scanning on, turned them off last night and it only used percent. Do you have them turned on ?

Next test is to find out what one is draining the battery more.

Just under 8hrs screen off time reported here from last night to now. 3% usage. No Bluetooth. And no WiFi or Bluetooth scanning.

I have Bluetooth on, no WiFi (unlimited data FTW)

Seems reasonable then, On my Samsung tablet I have Bluetooth scanning and WiFi scanning on and it doesn't do anything to the battery but with my phone it drains.

It takes power for the phone to remain powered on.

6% with comms enabled and 1% with comms disabled is perfectly fine.

But if you want to improve it, turn the phone off.

What do you expect the battery usage to be?

See my reply above yours, My Samsung tablet has everything on and no noticeable drain what so ever. And my tablet is 9 years Old. My phone is only two years old. I have more apps running on my Tablet. A previous phone not Samsung only used 2-3 percent over night.

The power usage of a tablet to that of a mobile phone is not a valid comparison as tablet builds of Android are configured differently to mobile phone builds.
