If you are doing photoshop and photography stuff then I would strongly suggest going for an IPS (or at least VA) type panel. The samsung P2370 is a good monitor for gaming and videos - but it uses a TN panel so it isn't great compared to an IPS/VA in terms of colour accuracy and wide viewing angles.

For this kind of budget you could get a refurbished Dell 2209WA (uses an 8 bit IPS panel and comes with 1 year warranty), I think it would be a better option considering your uses.

My old 19" expired and I needed a new screen urgently. I took the plunge and bought one of these for all round use and I was surprised at just how clear and sharp this screen is. For the price, I will keep this as my main screen for a year or so and upgrade again later on.

Does the screen have much tilt adjustment?

I have this monitor. The screen is great and well calibrated out the box... But it has no tilt adjustment, or hight adjustment
Also there is no audio input, just a single dvi input.

ok thank you. Some say they tilt and others say not... very confusing

Does DVi carry audio input or will I have to get seperate speakers? Thanks.

You will need seperate speakers mate. The samsung really looks classy. There is a slight red tint around the outside of the bezzel that looks really nice, The controls atre touch sensitive and work really well. Its fantastic for gaming and very slim. Also no back light bleed.
I cant really comment about the ocuk model as i've never seen it, but it might be worth finding out who the oem is.

Well mine is definitely a P2370, I still have the box and just checked, maybe I am fortunate that this model does allow the screen to tilt up and down. I've only had it a month so I am assuming it cold be a newer version and maybe older versions didn't tilt. Admittedly I didnt think it had the tilt at first as it doesn't look like it has tilt, and then i tried tilting it and guess what? it does, and has a fair range too.
Mine doesn't have the red tint. No speakers either.

I know this is an old thread, but where has these monitors gone another 2 would be nice for eyefinity.
