i bought one of those drives the other day after the description said that it has up to 220/200Mb read and write speeds and i intended to use it as a single boot drive for Windows XP.

I currently have a Raid 0 setup running Windows Vista spread over 3 Patriot Warp 32GB Drives that give up to 175/100MB Read and Write performance and running Atto on those 3 drives in raid shows performance capabilities pretty close to the advertised speeds (roughly off the top of my head 126mb/80mb read and write rate per drive to give a comulative total of around 378MB/240MB read and write) however running atto on the Samsung 128GB drive shown above shows that the drive performs little better than the 64GB drives that were all the rage a while ago.

I'll post some Atto bench marks later but at the moment the only saving grace of that drive is the fact that it is a relatively cheap 128GB drive (still very good on it's own if you wan't to avoid using raid the only other drives that offer this kind of performance and room are the G.skill drives, in particular the G.Skill Falcon if you deisre performance from a single drive) and seems to have a constant access time of 0.1MS but falls quite far from the advertised speeds from what i can ascertain.
