Hi All,

Just seen this:

Anyone using it? Is there an OCUK team?

It sounds like a pretty good idea. Slightly odd that you have to use it as an alarm. So there is always a stop time. It's not suitable for spare android devices or anything like that. But potentially a good thing to do if you tend to keep your phone plugged in over night.

You can use boinc directly on android, then you can crunch with your usual account.
It only allows a few projects and only runs at 》90% battery though.

Ah ok so if I don't want the alarm bits I just set BOINC to run at night while I sleep and that does the same job.

Makes more sense

Running with simap on my sg3 for about 12 hours a day and getting about 100 ppd.
I was getting 8500 ppd with a pair of 660ti's ;-)

I don't know how many points per watt my phone is but I don't think it is as efficient having it on charge all the time.

And all that heat won't do much for battery life either (my note 3 would be good as a hand warmer when under load - I used encrypting the device as a test for that).
