Samsung r40+ scroll slide note working?

Not sure what it's called the bit on the right hand side of the mouse pad, If you move up and down on it, it acts as a mouse wheel.

Now the touch pad must still be working on that part as it still moves the mouse pointer. It just doesn't scroll.

what should I look for, is there setting for it somewhere, driver?

In the Mouse properties window, it should be under 'Scrolling Function', or something similar. Then look for a checkbox.

It's either that, or the program that enables the side-scrolling function isn't running.

Thanks, I clicked on mouse in control panel and It through up an error for a syanptic driver so I uninstalled it and it's now working
