Hi guys , as the kids have sort of nicked my laptop i thought it would be time to treat myself to a new one .

I was all set to get a Dell Studio 17 but i don't fancy hanging on for 3 weeks, so i had a look around and i like the look of the Samsung R700, they look about even on spec for the money.

I can order the Samsung by next day free delivery which would be nice as i use it a lot in my truck for Maps, TV, sat nav, and talking to Mrs Swissy if i am doing night's out and the like , or should i hang on for the Dell ???

Thanks for that :)

I might pop down to the local German food store on Thursday, they seam to have a bit of a bargain for sale then ;)

I would recommend you try out the dell outlets, there was really good, at first i was extremely scared that it might have been used or something. However its was brand new, had even been used, original packages and well prefect. Me and my brother both brought it form there, mine took 5 working days cause there was a delay not sure why, my brothers took 3 days. Furthermore the price was great it is better than the R700 by far, its very fast and looks great. It also comes with a nice bag and a DVD remote.

T8100 (2.10 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 cache)
Windows Vista SP Home Premium
15.4" Widescreen WXGA
NVIDIA® GeForce Go 8600M GT
4096MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2
320GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive

Those specs on the normal Dell site would cost around £800 ish, since it comes with 667Mhz ram. I only have a small problem which is easily fix'd, the laptop comes with too much "junk", on my custom built PC Vista 64bit takes about 500mb of ram and on my laptop its takes 900mb+ so you might want to get rid of a few things. Apart form that i would really recommend it.
