Samsung Replacements Suck

Just received my replacement Syncmaster 2253BW, well i would have had i not refused it when the courier unwrapped it.

What Amputron (samsung's warrany front end) tried to send me was a so called replacement that had a smashed case (packaging was intact) as the courier handed it me pieces fell off in his hands :eek: yet he still wanted my monitor (that has a broken on off button). Packaging was pathetic a couple of bits of foam no side protection at all and a box big enough to hold 4 monitors. No wonder it broke. Plus the monitor was obviously old and well used with scratches on the base and frame and a filthy screen. Pathetic :mad: I refused delivery.

I called Amputron and they cannot send out another I have to go through Samsung again :eek:
 
Sounds like some one from the courier company switched it or smashed the box so they replaced it.

They don't give new monitors form what I remember they give refurbs but what you got was awful.

You didn't give your monitor to him did you?
 
yeah they do fail had a right go at samsung and amoktron for it , all they do is recondition broken ones then use them as replacements theres not one bit of quality control with that company if this 2443 ever goes funny in its warranty ill just bin it and go elsewhere
 
yeah samsung replacements are dreadful!!...i had to send back two monitors before they sent me a half decent one..will think twice before buying from samsung again!!
 
no i didnt give the courier my monitor, i have managed to turn it on and am using the wall socket to turn off at the moment.

I have contacted trading standards and sent a letter to samsungs head office. I will keep you all informed.
