Samsung S10 to S21

Hi,

Would it be a worth while upgrade going from a S10 to S21 ?

Not happy with the camera on the S10 and wondering if a upgrade to the S21 would be better ?

A friend's got a Pixel 4 and that does better pictures than the S10.

I want to stay with Samsung though don't wanna change.

Thanks for any information and advice.
 
The pictures on the S10 just don't look as good as they Pixel 4. That's the only reason.

Maybe there's something off with the settings on the S10.
 
If you want to stay with Samsung, then yes.
My wife has the S10 Plus, I have the S21 Ultra. Mine is dramatically superior to hers, even with my ridiculously inferior photography abilities.
 
Pixels and Samsungs produce different styles of photos. The Pixel has a more 'contrasty' feel where Samsung photos tend to be brighter and more colour-rich. If you want better photos staying with Samsung then the S21 is a good shout, but it might be just that you prefer the style of the Pixel photos rather than the quality.

I know you want to stay Samsung but if you're after better pictures (without needing to re-mortgage) then you really should consider a pixel - the bog standard pixel 6 takes outstanding pictures right out of the box without having to mess around with settings or custom camera apps. You're using stock android so the shift from Samsung shouldn't really be something to worry about. I've got a pixel 6 and an S22 ultra and the pixel 6 is still mostly my favourite.
 
We talking vanilla S21? I went from Note 10+ which is very similar to S10 series to S21 Ultra and camera definitely feels a great upgrade.

Saying that Pixel does have its own look and style to photos so might not get what you're after by upgrading anyway.
