Samsung S23A700 problem

Hi guys,

Recently bought two S23A700 monitors from here recently during the sale. One of the monitors I bought for my brother and it has a developed a fault where at random times a thin yellow line will appear down the middle of the screen.

Is this an error on my brothers end? Or does it sound as though it is faulty?

Tried an alternative cable? I'd at least try that before you do anything else.

Alternate DVI cable? I didn't get the chance to as I think these monitors came with a special DVI cable for the 120hz.

My brother says that if he gives it a little nudge it goes away most of the time. Does this indicate anything?

All they came with was a dual link DVI cable, not really special in that sense.

If you can borrow another one, or even get one from ebay, that would be my first call in attempting to find the cause of the yellow line.

The fact it goes away when nudged suggests something in the cable or the cable not connected properly.
