I'm looking to get a new monitor and the 700D has great reviews, but I have an nvidia card (GTX 670) so was wondering if Nvidia 3d vision would work with this monitor?

From what I have read it only works with AMD and 3rd party with the included glasses, but would it also work if I bought the 3D vision kit?

It will work fine but you would have to use the Tridef software and glasses that come with with the display instead of buying a 3D vision kit.

So it will only work with tridef and the bundled glasses.

Does that mean the glasses and IR emitter with 3d vision 2 won't work on this monitor?

There might be a way to unofficially hack it in, but generally 3D Vision kits only work with 3D Vision certified monitors out of the box.

So based on that I'd say it's safe to expect it only to work with Trided and the bundled glasses.

That isn't really a bad thing though, Tridef works well and has some extended functionality compared to 3D Vision.

I did take a look at the Benq XL2411T but a lot of reviews said it had noticeable ghosting which is pretty much a deal breaker for me. Even if I can't use 3d vision with the samsung (never used anyway so won't miss it), I may go for it anyway for the 120hz + better colours and glossy screen.
