Greetings Folks,

just got this today and my word is it great,
Right out of the box i was more than happy with it,

But whats the deal with 3D gaming?
Reading forums and so folks say use TirDef other used 2D to 3D on the menu other use ingame.
i was playing Battlefield and enabled it in game but to be honest did not see a big change i was able to see the overlay when glasses were removed ok.

What is the best way to play in 3D?

Other than that love playing in 120Hz

It's quite simple really, if you use the monitors built in 2D to 3D convertor then there is no impact upon game performance, basically a free '3D' effect. If you enable 3D within the game software expect to see a massive performance hit as the video card is doing all of the work.

The Tri-Def software that comes bundled with it is also very AMD/ATI card friendly and doesn't do nVidia cards any good. So you basically press the '3D' button and adjust the settings on the monitor accordingly for the 3D effect, which like nufcrulez states, is basically free and doesn't dent system performance. It is however not as good a 3D effect then what you would get with a dedicated nVidia 3D kit.

See thats the thing i done this and to be honest cant see any change other than a slight over lap on screen.

Also i dont mind a slight drop in fps as system should be ok with it,

Asus Maximus IV Extreme
Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6990
G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz

But as i said at this point more than happy so far even with 2D :-)

did u change the depth level on the monitor? should be set to 10!

think the monitor defaults it to 1-2 as my 950 did!

Yep done that still not much change,
I was able to get it working on side by side watching this clip on you tube and man its great,

But ingame just seems the same.
