I noticed on the OCUK that this monitor has had a massive drop in price,

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MO-187-SA&tool=3

Pre-order

ETA: 30/09/13

was £799.99 inc VAT

£499.99 inc VAT

Question is, can a single 680GTX run this monitor at its native res, or am I looking at having to SLI/ new card altogether, I do game, but nothing that would be serious FPS, its more GW2, FF14, etc etc.

I can see me ordering this on Monday if the GFX card is up to it :D

Thanks,

Wow, would have had one of these at this price

Got a Viewsonic with the same res instead which my GTX680 runs absolutely fine. Can max out most games and even stuff like Crysis 3 only needs settings dropping a little.

Snap one up at this price if I were you.

Thanks mate, I totally did pre-order it, that price drop was just too good a chance to let slip, just wish next week would hurry up now :D

Just want to say thanks to Ashley Bourne from the OCUK team who also replied to my webnote.

As long as you got a good one, i'd just keep the Viewsonic :)

There's always a chance you could end up with dead pixels and backlight bleed, even on the Samsung.

I agree. If Viewsonic, Asus can sell their equivelants at around £500+, Samsung could have as well... hell they make the actual panel, so not like they have to sell their very own panels on, Viewsonic, Asus undercut them still...

Talk about bad timing just bought some plane tickets had over £700 in my bank account an will not be able to put more cash into my bank till monday morning to cover the cost of this monitor dont have credit cards.

Hmm..I'm wondering if my 670 ftw will run my games at that res. The general consensus is yes it will, with AA disabled. I don't play FPS multi, mainly moba rts and single player type games.

Thoughts?

Well if I got this monitor would be running on just one GTX 670 expect to turn down the settings in some games won't be using AA an can always use my Dell 2407 if its a really demanding game.
Play similar games to you Baron don't like online fast mutli player games.

Yeah, I'm in similar with a Samsung sync 24' .
hmm...:-)

I was tempted by this until I read the TFT Central review.

Essentially it's just a standard PLS panel with a fancy stand and aluminium casing.
At £799 you're right. At £499 it's virtually the same price as the Asus, and right now a better buy IMO. I was going to buy the Asus this week until this offer came along.

If they have not sold out, I'll hold the special price until 5pm today. :)

Great thanks Gibbo be buying the monitor around 10.30 am if you still have any left ;)

Edit
Have now bought this monitor at 10.26 am today cant wait hope I get good one.
