Hi All,

Had a weird issue occur on my S6 edge (vodafone) - So last night i went to ring a friend and straight away it said "call ended" with the red screen, tried again didn't work i thought maybe his phone was switched off and didn't think much off it, reliased today that when i ring anyone it does this, i then tried to call my mobile from a landline and it goes straight to voicemail.

I have tried restarting my phone , switching it off for 5 mins and back on, running antivirus, taking my sim out and back in, going into networks and selecting automatically and it says vodafone - registered on network , sticking the phone on flightmode for 10 minutes and off again.. any other suggestions?

Call Voda before you do anything else. This is a classic symptom in mobile networks when an account is barred or the mast is broken and can "see" phones but not connect them.

I contacted vodafone - no issue with my line, also i took the sim out and put it into my work phone which is an iphone on vodafone and it works fine but not working in my samsung?

Does your work iphone SIM work in the S6? If not, handset only fault by elimination - factory reset is the first thing to do :( If it does work, SIM + handset combo problem which is much more difficult. (if you have a 3rd handset this would be the time to try it).

They will usually request you try a new SIM and then factory reset if it's the combo fault. I never got the S6 as a tester, if there's an inbuilt testing suite (nearly every Android has one) you could try that too.

I had this with my nexus 5 when i first moved off iPhone 4s vodafone, In the end i actually had to change my phone number as my number got "associated" with an apple device according to the voda rep. His fix may of sounded stupid but a new number/new sim actually worked. New sim with my old number was tried first but the second time with a new number also did do the trick.

Oddly though i ported the number to 3 as i wanted to see if it would work again and now it works on my Moto x style. Think it was Vodafone being Vodafone tbh..
