Hi,

I've been looking at this screen recently, and really would like it to go with my 8800GTX.

Is this still one of the top screens to get in the 24" range?

Also, can this be wall mounted out of the box?

Thanks,
Craig.

Here is a review of it, incase you haven't seen it...

I would be more inclined to go for the OcUK Value L2442W (I have one of these and it is very good indeed) due to it using a VA panel, as opposed to the TN of the 245B...but that is only my opinion. :)

Its still a top screen, very few post where ive seen people having issues with it too.

I loved the magic bright and preset configurations on it also, little backlight bleed only one thing I didnt quite like which was a minor was the viewing angles moving your head left to right u can see the quality/sharpness reduced. Also a lot of folk say while TN type panels like the 245B is good its not brilliant... for overall quality.

Id take a look at the Ocuk 24" thread the one thats like 20pages+ that seems to be the top 24" around 210 quid special offer I belive.

But as they say theres some highend screens the Dell 2408hc is the one im gonna go for think thats looking best 24" atm ;) but comes with a price tag

TN panels really are not suitable for 24"+ screens. The poor viewing angles become a lot more apparent - and badass remarks about this in his review.

The OCUK 24" is the way to go, or a B grade PVA panel monitor as prices are still too high for most brand new PVA screens. Then manufacturers should notice that people want PVA and should lead to drops in prices.

i've got it and love it. I wouldn't say it was one of the 'top' 24" screens by any means, however. But if screen space is important to you (photoshop or video editing, say) and money is an issue (as it always is for everyone!) it's a great screen and you'll be very happy with it i'm sure.

Would have to agree, however when I had my 245B yeah the viewing angles are a slight concern but nothing too serious obviously at this time however we have cheaper/higher quality 24" screens so theres no point in the samsung 245B 24" screen altogether.

Its also the main reason why I took the chance when I had and sold off my 245B screen I got a good price for it and well can go for the Ocuk 24" if anything but nah think the dell 2408 will be the new daddy ;)
