Hi, I have just bought one of these and have it connected via dvi cable but am unable to make adjustments to brightness etc with monitor controls on the front is this correct? it also wobbles a bit on its stand is this normal or does it need to be forced down more? thanks

No, it isn't right. You should be able to make adjustments to brightness with the monitor controls whilst connecting via dvi.
Have you securely screwed the nut underneath the base?
BTW, they are very good monitors. Far superior to the acer that it replaced. The colours are fantastic, but like all monitors these days you really need to turn down the brightness and contrast, unless you happen to be that guy out of sunshine.
