Samsung SM244T

Hi, I'm probably going to be getting a refund for my Dell 2407 and I'm looking for a replacement.. From what i've read this is based on the same panel but does not have any banding issues. Can anyone confirm this or link me to a review that looks into this?

Also are there any other differences other then the design ?

The Samsung looks pretty ugly don't you think? Would look better in black.

I have, I'm currently on my third A02 replacement. I've got two of them still with me and they all have the same problem. The banding issue has not been fixed.

I'd prefer black but its more importent to have a working monitor with no obvious flaws.

Thats still 2 months away and probably another month until its available.

I keep reading the 244T has more input lag then the dell, is it really that bad?

The lag worries me too as i play DM.

seems the Dell has improved the lag, but i cant live with the banding tbh.

I've seen and this the afterglow does look allot worse there on the 244T but is it noticable in actual use?... Also not really sure how much I trust the review considering they didnt even try looking for colour banding on either.

in terms of responsiveness ins real use i would suggest they are both pretty comparable being that they use the same 6ms Samsung S-PVA panel. BH are generally pretty good at doing side by side comparisons, but i was a little disappointed they avoided discussion of some of the main subjects linked to the 2407WFP. That review there did seem a bit brief imo as well. Regardless, pixel latency is likely to be pretty similar between the two. However, input lag is worse on the 244T from user reports across internet forums, so something to consider if you're a FPS gamer

Hmm, I'll probably buy it and if I don't like it return it... really hope I don't have to.. . Theres really not much available in the 24" market and i'm not really willing to wait another two months for something that might be better.
