Not actually bought from OcUK but nevertheless....

Cost just under £230 with delivery and features DVI, HDMI x 1, USB Hub and Integrated Speakers. :D

Picture looks more than acceptable using DVI but comparing HDMI on the PC output looks slightly blurry to me. I`m using a Gigabyte passively cooled HD4850 1Gb. The HDMI adapter I`m using is as supplied by the card with audio routed through the integral speakers.

Sharpness is cranked up full so what can I do to improve. I`ve tried another HDMI cable with the same result.

Another word of caution for anyone who thinks that the touch sensitive buttons aren`t working. They`re not completely touch sensitive and you actually have to push the buttons! Almost RMAd the montior `cos I couldn`t turn it on/ off by brushing the button. You do actually have to push!

I`ll try and post some piccies if anyone is interested.

I have the 26" version (2693). I've been using it for 2 weeks and considering the price it's a decent monitor. The viewing angle is tight; off centre the edges show a slight colour change but the display is sharp with a wide contrast.

One aspect which is slightly annoying is that it takes about 5 seconds to change the input source. I have an Xbox 360 connected via the HDMI and my PC through DVI. When levels are loading I like to switch to my PC to check forums etc but it just takes too long.

I have the SM2693HM too and it is a lovely monitor. Been using mine for over 3 weeks now.

The viewing angle may be tight (A slightly warm yellow tint when viewed from extreme angles), but it doesn't really bother me that much since I am always looking straight at the monitor anyways.

Sharpness and Contrast are great and if anything, it was too bright out of the box so a little time to adjust was needed.

I don't really have too much problems with the touch sensitive controls apart from when trying to press them in the dark, shame they couldn't be slightly lit up or anything as I tend to miss or press the wrong one.

As for picture quality between DVI and HDMI, no difference from what I can see since they are both similar digital signals anyways.

Changing the input source does take a while to switch so it does get a little annoying at times.

Overall though, it is still a great monitor and with absolutely no dead pixels. And the tilt swivel portrait view is extremely handy.

1900 x 1080 .... not 1900 x 1200

Hi Guys,

The monitors that you are referencing are 16:10 (1900 x 1200 versions) ... the SM2494HM is the 1080p (16:9) version maxing out at 1900 x 1080.

Why would the sharpness on the HDMI be slightly blurry?

Colours in gaming are great and lively but there is a slight delay on changing the input source. Not that much of an issue for me.
