Samsung Smart TV media player controls

I have a Samsung Smart TV which is mainly used for watching videos that are on my Synology DiskStation.

The TV sees it as a network location and I can browse and play files. I have, however, a controls question: how do I scrub the timeline of the video? The only way I found to skip video time is to press "left" and "right" arrows but that only does a few seconds skip. Very annoying if I want to carry on watching the film from the middle for example.

Any ideas?

While watching the film, if you press B on your remote, you can quick scroll through the whole film to any point you like, don't think it's possible unless you download an app to your tv designed for playing media.
