Ok ive been in the hunt for a large HDTV for a while now and have come down to this http://www.tesco.com/electrical/pro...ci=284|Televisions*4294966578|Rear Projection

I plan to use it for Xbox360 aswell as SKY, movies. Any thoughts or advice?

TBH You'd be better off looking for a set that has 1360x768 for true widescreen 720p. LCD is the current favourite for anything 20"+ to 40" and plasma for anything larger (although screen burn could be an issue with the Xbox 360 and Sky).

Do you definitely want to go for 42"?

Every large plasma or DLP I see has 1280 x720 .Anywhere between 32 and 46 inches, I prefer Plasma or DLP over LCD because of the viewing angles.
