Anyone seen this 20" widescreen monitor?

According to Samsung's UK website it is HDCP compatible, 6ms, 700:1, 300cd.

I've seen it for £268 online.

Does anyone know what type of screen it uses?

I'd be really interested in this too. Currently have a 181T and am looking to change to widescreen. Dells too expensive for me though. virtually only use is for games.

Baddass where are you? lol

evening guys :) The Samsung 205BW is using a 6ms Samsung TN Film panel. It's pretty much a scaled up version of the panel used in the 19" market so widely, in models like the Samsung 913N, Hyundai L90D+ etc. Looks from the spec that they have added a degree of overdrive (Samsung's MagicSpeed) to boost grey transitions a little to 6ms G2G. Should be a good gaming screen, but will suffer the drawbacks of TN Film, namely poor viewing angles and restrictive movie playback. However, for the price, it's a good buy :)

Thanks very much for replying so quickly Baddass. Would you say its worth spending the little bit more and going for the Samsung 215TW?

I'd go for the NEC but don't want the glossy screen.

depends on the use really. The 215TW uses a S-PVA panel and so will offer more all round performance than the 205BW's TN Film panel. The 205BW has the edge in terms of responsiveness and so might be more suited to gaming, but the 215TW will offer wider viewing angles, better colour depth and black depth, and generally better all round performance
