hi all.
ive been looking around the net for pics of this screen for ages and not found any. so im posting a load incase anyone else was after some.

the screen arricved today.
i bought it from a UK competitor.

my first impressions were simply WOW. the best part about this screen has got to be the bae. i cannoyt believe i was abotu to buy a screen with a base that was restricted.
it moves everywhere you need / want it to and is great quality.

the verticle adjustment works flawlessly, it seems to be counter balanced, a bit like sash ( spelling?) windows... very easy to lift up and down but just simply 'stay' where you want them.

theres no cable management like on other stands but this is probobly due to the mechanics of the base

plenty of cables were included with the screen, including DVI, VGA and power.
also a load of waranty cards... apparently one of the things that isnt covered by the waranty are and i quote '' acts of god''

Dont - yer making me cry :(

Mines sitting in its box until xmas day! Only used it once at work when I picked it up :(

How much you get it for in the end?

more pics will be added in the next 5 mins, please wait !!!!! ( image shack is playing up)

one of the last things i acctually noticed in the excitment of having my first new screen in 19 years, and i didnt even notice til i got it into my room and running.... that it was black !
not silver.

i so desperatly wanted a black framed screen, but decided to settle on a silver one.

plugging the screen in was a doddle as was adjusting it. unfortunatly the first screen i was greeted with was that of soem kind of hard disk error / disk check

there is a little bit of back light bleed on this screen but notigh too bad, and certainly cant be seen unless you enjoy lookign at a 100% black screen :/

the one thing that was very important to me was the walls of the screen. i plan on buying another for a dual display set up so the walls had to be thin, and square.
there is a VERY slight SLIGHT chamfer on the screen. which i imagine when two are but next to eachother on a 100% flat angle there would be about 1mm gap between the 2. but due to the way dual displays are angled inwards this would solve it instantly.

the button next to auto ( by the way auto doesnt work with DVI, just VGA ) is an input selecter, so if you have another VGA input you can swap between them both.

some minor details. such as the power light, very small and subtle... doesnt glare out at you ! well thought out !

PLEASE stop teasing and show it in all its glory :D

I am seriously thinking of getting this next year, but I want to know if the 22" is worth it over a cheaper 20" model.

I personally prefer it in black but dont mind the silver. Black just looks better etc to me.

How is the backlighting, I know there are a few people that have complained about it.

thats what im deliberating over at the moment, you can get the 20" for £200 and the 22" for £300. I have a old hitachi 17" TFT at the moment so what ever I get it'll be bigger. I just can't decide if its worth the 100 quid.

Any opinions?

Thought I'd post a shot of my Samsung 215TW , the desk stand was good but I felt the need for a "tarty" wall mount :o

I prefer the silver, goes with my aluminum case.
