Hello folks, my samsung is out of warranty and I really don't fancy buying a new one so I'm going to have a go at fixing it, I have nothing to lose ('',).
Anyway, Yesterday I heard like the sound of like a gas leak, I could hear it but couldn't pinpoint what it was, anyway 2 hours later my monitor decided just to go black while I was playing a game. Everytime I turn the monitor off and on I can see the game again perfectly (slightly less brightness tho) for a split second then it goes black again. The front lights are on etc and the picture is there for a split second, there is a slight clicking noise aswell.
I have tried both dvi + hdmi, no avail
I have tried the monitor with my skybox, same problem
I've had a quick look inside and I can't see any obviously blown capacitors, although I'll need to double check that.
Any ideas? As I can see the desktop perfectly when I turn it off and on everytime for a split second, I'm presuming it's not completely bust, so I guess fixing it is worth a shot.
