Hey All, I am thinking of getting a Samsung T240, but it seems that pretty much everywhere is out of stock, anyone know what's going on?

On a similar note, anyone have anything good or bad experiences to report with this monitor?

Cheers

i had two t220's and have just swapped them for 2 t260's. They perform as well as a TN panel can do and are the best looking monitors around i think. Only downside i've found is that the shiny material they're made with attracts dust like a hoover.

Theres quite a few kicking around if you google it, although they seem to be getting bumped up in price as i guess they're in demand. infact i got my 260's for £30 less than the 240's are in the same shop!!! cant say where obv;)

how much did you buy your T260 for?? Clum??

T240 is an fantastic monitor, only bad experience is that it's too good looking :P can't keep my eyes off it.

for the screen, i can't find a single fault. anything from 1280x1024 to native resolution looks fantastic. (of course, 1920x1200 native res looks the best)

I had a t220 and it was amazing untill it broke after a 2 months. The replacement was a CMO panel and its like a completely different monitor. Crap TBH. I think most of the T240's would probably now but non samsung panels.

Got a T260 here and it is quite an incredible monitor. As said before, the plastic frame does attract dust (not much in my opinion), but its not really a drawback since i clean it regularly anyways.

It does take a while for the screen to display a picture, about 3 - 4 seconds since the power-on LED light seems to blink for that many times, but that's largely the only difference I had to adjust to compared to my old monitor.

Overall it's a great monitor with a lovely rose tint! :)

it's near instant for me.

when did you buy it, latest ones from OCuk had newer firmware with OSD built to the bottom right, and have what each button do when OSD is displayed.

Last November from OCuk.

Mine's actually the HD model with the DTV tuner and after doing some research, I found out that mine's supposed to have a delay when switching it on. I never thought something so small as that would differ between models.
