Samsung Tablet Audio Routing Q

Trying to help an elderly mate of mine who wants to watch pottery “how to” videos in his shed on this HDMI connector equipped monitor he has without spending a lot of money.

He can’t just play them on his Galaxy tablet as his eyesight isn’t great and neither is his hearing. Alas, this monitor doesn’t have speakers.

Is it possible on Android to route audio to a Bluetooth or wired headset while video is routed to a screen via HDMI?

Do you know which tablet it is? I have a samsung S8 tablet which I can experiment with if that helps. I have full on laptop docks which I can plug it into or just a USB C to hdmi dongle. My tablet doesn't have a native hdmi out.

Just been told it’s an A8 which doesn’t stream via USB-C > HDMI due to it only supporting USB-C V2.0.

Told him to test Smart View app with his big smart tv before spending any more money.

Ahh I see. I did test out my tablet with a Usb C to Hdmi monitor and Bluetooth headphones and it played the audio through my headphones.

Annoyingly samsung/google provide very little in the way of options when dealing with multiple audio and video outs
