Samsung UE40C6000 LED 40'' TV

I am hoping to buy the above TV, so has any got any comments regarding this TV

its not bad, suffers from the normal Led back light bleed, looks great for day to day watching but can suffer from judder on movies.

Saw this in currys today and it looked great, but a Google reveals lots of people aren't happy with the stuttering, which I think for 600 quid is unacceptable.

Lcd is the same thing, just with an older lighting tech, Better would be plasma

Ifrom what I have seen, LCD is a brighter picture, plasma looks natural, and LED is best of both, plus at 100htzs the LED should be a really good picture !

Yeah but the trouble is unless you paying over £1000 the LED sets are all side lit sets which is not an improvement.

Some sharp and Samsung full LED lit sets can be had way under £1000

Really, what 40" ones? They must have come right down in price since I was last looking as back then the rear lit ones were around £1500

Sharp Aquos LC-40LE600E is what I have, it's not a patch on the Samsungs but it's ok... draw back is it's not thin like a edge lit panel and abouit same depth as a plasma.

I like the picture better than plasmas, but it's all down to what you like I guess

I have purchased the Sansung LE40C6000 which is a side lit set and I have noticed some side pale white bleeding. Not sure is it is a design issue or just on my set.
I am thinking of returning it for either a replacement set or the Samsung LE40C652. Which is an old technlolgy back lit panel.
So not sure what to do now !

The LE sets are not LED.

The LE sets are I beleave are LED side lit

The UE Sets are LED , the LE sets are LCD , at least in the UK

yep thats a typical LED problem, light bleed from the edges, turning the backlighting down helps but then you back at the point of having a normal lcd.

which i s why i would still buy plasma over anything else.

correct, and samsung dont do full backlite LED as they think the C8000 and 9000 range are just as good being edge lite.
