Evening!

Currently in the market for a new 55” tv and like the look of these two.

My budget is about £1k and both come in slightly under. The XE90 retails for £1,349 but I can get a 30% discount bringing it down to £945. The Samsung can be had for £999 from multiple places.

The Sony seems to be the better tv, however I’ve never used an Android tv before and the reviews seem to indicate that they are a bit slow and buggy. The screen also seems to slope slightly back at an angle which looks a little odd? Remote looks a little pants as well which isn’t important but worth mentioning!

The Samsung interface seems to be much better and smoother, however the picture doesn’t look to be as good. I prefer the overall design of the tv as well.

OLED would be my first choice however the budget will not stretch that far :(

Any input from people who have either would be much appreciated!

Thanks :)

Been to see both tonight in the flesh. The slope is non existent so no worries there. Sony has much better blacks and is brighter and supposedly has better sound too. Looks like I’ll be going for that one :)

Only negative was the stand which is a strange shape and makes it awkward to sit a sound bar in front :(
