Samsung v25

Hi

My Girlfriend has a Samsung V25 Laptop and the DVD-CD/RW has stopped working.
Can I buy any laptop DVD/CD tray or does it have to be a Samsung one for the same model?

Any help appreciated.....Cheers

Contacted Samsung?

If its still under warrenty you should be able to get something sorted out.

If that fails any laptop sized DVD/CD drive should fit in. I don't have a Samsung V25 though so... pure speculation.

I wouldn't guarentee that a standard drive will fit, as some manufacturers use a slightly different fixing mechanism.
The other problem is that most drives are flat fronted so if the Samsung drive is contoured in any way it will look a bit weird and may also be a reason for not fitting.
Try finding a Samsung specific forum or asking their tech support.
